Carsen's 2nd Birthday

I'm finally getting around to posting pictures of Carsen's birthday party last month. He opened presents at home the day before his birthday since his birthday was on Friday.

Fun is what you make it

I recently showed Carsen he could play under the laundry basket by turning it over. Of course, he doesn't fit completely under it but he doesn't mind. He calls it his house and can't quite pull it over on himself causing some whining.

Thinking Chair

Carsen got this fun chair for Christmas and when we first brought it home referred to it as his "thinking chair." He loves to sit in it to read or watch TV.

Artist at Work

I needed to buy some art supplies for my art class and decided to get Carsen some Color Wonder markers and paper. This product is great. He can only color on certain paper w/ these markers otherwise it turns out clear. He started out doing really well w/ them and only needed help pulling the cap off and putting it back on. He likes to sit at the table and draw.

Throwing a Fit

For awhile Carsen was throwing a good fit whenever he didn't get what he wanted. Here is an example of him laying on the floor in front of the pantry where we keep the snacks.

Sick Day

In January (luckily on one of the big snow days) Carsen started throwing up. All day he was indecisive and cranky. He wanted to lay around and watch TV which who can blame him? That's what I like when I'm sick too.

Watching Toy Story w/ Buzz and Woody. At one point I was laying down there too. Not as comfortable for mom.

I laid this sheet down b/c I didn't want him rolling around in all the dog hair our carpet accumulates and I also didn't want to clean more throw up off the carpet.
